adidas

The gangster rapper's favorite. Football players go-to. Kanye West’s stroke of genius. Adidas was started in a washroom in Germany, and has, with its iconic three stripes, consolidated its position as one of the best sneaker brands in the world.
After Kanye’s dramatic split with Nike, adidas seized the opportunity to link up with the uncompromising rapper - a collaboration which time has shown to be one of the best since Michael Jordan and Nike. In 2013 ‘Ye dropped the wild Yeezy 750 and in 2015 Yeezy Season 1 touched down. Since then new models and fresh colorways have been catapulted onto the feet of instagrammers and fashionistas - and also into the history books.

You can easily fill a whole sneaker collection with adidas classics. But one has to acknowledge adidas’ innovation in the last decade. The Three Stribes have managed to create some of the most challenging silhouettes including the NMD and Ultra Boost, and they even became the first shoe-maker to 3D-print soles in their new 4D series. adidas has proven to put its boundary-pushing ethos in the driver's seat once again - and it’s evident with the revolutionary Boost and Primeknit technologies that most Yeezys are built upon.

adidas is still surpassed by Nike as the world's biggest sportswear brand, but people are speculating how long the reign will last. Better watch the throne.
